The WTC, aka While Turret Camerass we offered for school bus camera systems  was found to reflect light at time and so a reflection preventative coating was placed on them with a darker pigment in the newer BTC or Black Turret Cameras for the Low Cost HD School Bus Child Safety Camera systems

These are the same high quaality vandal resistant BTC cameras we now offer in our Police Patrol Wagon Suspect, Prisoner & Inmate in-Custody Transport Camera systems. Their durability and wide angle make coverage of nearby items much better.

​Although we offered lower-profile surface-mount PD cameras for other applications, they are often preferred less than the heavy-duty vandal-resistant BTC cameras, which are used to prevent people from striking or damaging the cameras by hitting them with fists or objects. The heavy cast metal construction and security locking screws seem to deter all but the most determined abusers. Rural Area Ride Share Paratransit Vehicle Camera Recorders have had some problems in the past with lighter-duty cameras, but once the BTC cameras were installed, vandalism issues were eliminated.
